San Diego Fire & Rescue crews found a man who reportedly could not walk due to injuries suffered after falling from a cliff near the Torrey Pines Gliderport at around 3:15 a.m.

Crews used a pulley system to crank the victim from the cliffside, and he was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital with serious leg injuries.

ABC10 reported that the man was naked at the time of the rescue.

Just before 1 a.m. the department was called to recover a vehicle that had exited the nearby parking lot in the 2800 block of Torrey Pines Scenic Drive into a ravine. Authorities did not locate any occupants of the vehicle at the time.

Fire officials believe the man is the driver of that vehicle.
